Freezing rain has already started in Tarrant county this morning and it looks like its going to be pretty slick for the next couple of days. So how well does the Miata handle icy roads? Is the light weight helpful or hindrance?
Be careful out there and watch out for the other guy!

Don't want to find out. Mine will be tucked in the garage until the thaw.

On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I'm not worried about you guys, but we ought to take a poll on how many "I wrecked my car in the ice storm" threads pop up on the local S2k board this weekend. It seems that every time it sprinkles, those guys end up running into things ass end first.

We have had another winter storm out here, and the roads are worse this time. Last time my car was fine. I just drove smart, and slow and I was fine. I might post some pics of today's snow in a bit.

Well I got bored enough. The drive to work tonight will be fun. If my Target wasn't like a mile a way I would call in.

I've driven a Miata in ice and it isn't fun but I'd rather be in it with it's 50/50 weight distribution, manual tranny and light weight than a 5,000lb SUV with a V8, Automatic and high center of gravity.

You're just beginning to see the real POS Racing. That car is in the garage and under the covers because it is raining.
The 'Lac is in the showroom at his company's world headquarters, and his kid is probably splitting firewood in the backyard. If he ever gets his hands on IM Vivid's whip, she'll be stacking firewood.
Your's truly, on the other hand, has the Miata in the shop because the heated garage is still full of Christmas debris.

I can't wait for work. I looooove driving in rain and ice. As long as it's not a long distance.
