??? How are the new azenis?
I've talked Mrs. Ataim and Mrs Monkey to let us play this year, so white will be back knocking cones over this year. I'm not sure if I want to burn up R tires though.

Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...
What model Azenis are we talking about here? I'm not making any promises but I'm hoping to make it to a few auto-X events this year so I'm looking for new tires

.... no Miata
If you want the best performing street tires for a Miata I'd go with what the others are saying. Either the Falken RT615 or the Hankook RS-2.
I went with the Hankook last season b/c my Falken RT215 (older Azenis) weren't very good in the rain. The Hankook seems to be a better street tire, so if you are going to be daily driving on the tires I might consider going with them.
I'm going with the Hankook again this season b/c I wanted to try the 225/45/15 size out. Apex2apex will be running the exact same wheel (15x8, 12.8 lbs) as me this season with a 205/50 Azenis. We plan on switching wheels at an event sometime this year to compare the two tires.

FYI, the top 2 finishers in the street tire Miata class this past season were on the Kooks, #3 was on Falkens. All 3 cars could be classed in CSP in SCCA.

I just purchased a set of 205/50/15 RT-615 for $383.25 at Discount Tire @ Coit and 190.
Call you local tire shops, find one that willing to pricematch online prices.
