Erm... you do realize where Mineral Wells is, right? It's a good 1.5-2 hour drive west from the Plano/Richardson area.GOOD GOD MAN! When do you sleep?
The driver's meeting is scheduled to start at 9:30 am. Even if you aren't changing tires, you need to give yourself time to get there, get your car ready and teched, register, and walk the course (and I'd suggest walking more than once). 8 am is a good arrival time to shoot for.

Exactly... and when I ran out at the Wells, I would join TC somewhere around 5-5:30am-ish (if I remember correctly) and meet out for breakfast. It took all that time to just get there...
Oh, so I did have a good time to leave by... I was just pot-shotting my luck there by guessing a time since I've never been there before.
Just stuck a sway bar in my friend's civic and put some 4pt harnesses in my Miata! So ph3ar the $50 all-season tire team!
