    Default Attn: Toll Tag Users!!!

I just wanted to pass some information on to you.

I received a bill in the mail from Texas Tollways. (I found out this is different from NTTA)

I thought this was strange as I have two current tolltags with balances on them. I called them up and it turns out I got charged at the new toll portion of 121 in Lewisville.

I assumed it would be deducted from my NTTA account. I assumed wrong.
When I called NTTA they said since I had a "Cash Account" whatever that means, I was not in the system to approve the charge. The rep took care of it for me so I will not have issues in the future.

You may want to call NTTA to make sure you are able to use the new toll portion of 121 with your toll tag.

NTTA Website has contact info on lower left side.
    ...and across the line.

    Toll roads suck!

I wish I had enough horsepower to just wheelie through the toll-gate with no front plate on... but that'd probably cost more in tires than the toll.

Interesting. I have used 121 several times since they implemented tools and have never received a bill. And I do have a toll tag.

It may just be for the cash account tags... I've gone through that section several times without a bill. I have the account tied to a credit card.

I completly agree. It's bad enough we have to pay for insurance + registration + inspection, and we also have to pay tolls on top of that. Don't some of our taxes go to roads and their maintenace?

I grew up in NJ, "The Toll Booth State". Both of the two major highway systems, the Garden State Parkway and the NJ Turnpike, are toll roads but the tolls were never as high nor as frequent, as they are on the Tollway or GB.

    Yes they do.

I hate having to pay to drive on a road with an artificially low speed limit and such a LARGE amount of traffic enforcement as the PGBT.

What really sucks is there's no REAL alternative to get to Richardson. (Side streets take too long and both 121 and SOB freeway are WAY out of the way)
