Thread: Local alignment shop?

  1. #1

    Default Local alignment shop?

Who has experience in the area (NE Dallas/Plano/Richardson) doing alignments on modified suspensions (NC w/springs/sways/shocks/wide wheels)?

I don't have the car yet, but plan on doing it right the first time...

I get all my work done at Dallas Frame & Alignment (972-241-2361) - talk to Bobby. They're off of Harry Hines near Royal Lane, but I think it'll be worth the drive.

We used Bobby for 10 years, and DF&L screwed up MY LE twice.

Once he told me his alignment boy went out and got drunk last night, and that is why I have positive camber instead of neg, and a wirey Azenis. Sorry, we'll re align it for you.
I had it set to Merv specs and 3 tires like new, and one gone.
    Thats alignment not Merv specs.
I had <2000k miles on them and was on a cross country.

It really pissed me off, because I had recomended DF&L to most of my customers.

Man, that sucks. I've never had a problem with them, but I guess YMMV (as they say).

    +1.

He's at the NTB in Lewisville between the two 121's at 1901 Stemons fwy(I-35). He'll allow you to sit in the car if you want, set it to the specs you tell him and they will be right on. He's a perfectionest and a miata enthusiest.

    Ask for AJ.

+2 on Bam and NTB. He realigned my RX-8 a couple of weeks ago and I've been very happy with the results.

Just remember - Bam works on commission. Don't forget to tip your server!

The guy at the Kwik Kar place on Parker just west of Custer in Plano did a decent job on my '96. Gary at TDR pointed me in his direction. I forget the guy's name, but a search on this forum should turn it up - I called to make sure he'd be there.

Thanks guys, that's my question answered! I'm now driving an hour each way for work and the shimmy is killing me.

Though I don't know if I am crazy enough to get up to Lewisville by 7am on Saturday.

Ditto that. AJ's work @ NTB in Lewisville is well worth the drive and your money.
