Those tires look too big to fit a Miata.

A 17" rim requires 205R40 profiles and those look to be at least 40.
    A 18" rim would require a 205R35 profile.

BTW, you might want to ask for opinions from people that have run 17" rims.

i read online that those weigh 20lbs each.
the size of the tires are 215/35/18
i put them on my miata. they looked huge, might look nice on a NC cause its only one size larger.

Too big for me. I like the price of 14" and 15" tires alot better than 17" or 18" tires. They do look good though!

Yep, with those monsters my gearing would go right the window.

To bad they won't fit on my MPV. They'd look badass on the "Family Truckster".

With the 35% profile, you should'nt see any difference on your speedometer.

You would, however, notice it in the ride quality, or lack there of. It is also very easy to bend rims with that low profile.

    Looks like a 215/35 18 would be ~1 in taller than a 195/50 15.

Add in a 1 in SHORTER sidewall and 40+lbs per corner...

    Ummm, I'll pass.

    You are correct.

1.25" overall diameter difference between the two(per Discount Tire's tire size comparison calculator.

yea, they are some slick looking rims, but i totally understand the low profile/weight issues, if it wasnt for that i would have them.
they feel like they are about 25-28 lbs with the tires on them, and when i put them on and drove around the block the car felt less responsive.
but neat for a car that makes lots of power, or a car that you arent concerned about driving fast with.
