best place to buy an 02 sensor...????
I need a new 02 sensor (b4 the cat) for my 99........can you guys point me to the best sources to buy one? Preferably local as I am driving this to Deals Gap in a couple weeks...thanks in advance for the help
Forgot to mention, I want an OE style, not a universal one..........

You can buy a generic o2 from a local autoparts store and wire it in yourself. Or you can get one from one of the internet order mazda dealers. They will have your best price and will have it to you by Wed probably if you order tonight. The benefit of the OEM unit is that it plugs in very easily.
Dealer would probably be the best place. I would check around for the best price, then call (can I say it?) Town North for the part. They've matched other dealers' internet pricing, and the added bonus is that you don't pay shipping!

Dealer might be the best place if you want to pay a premium for a plug. If you can splice a few wires you can save lots ofby using a generic Bosch O2 sensor from a parts store.
On my 95, a four wire Bosch generic was around $50 and included easy screw together wire taps. Hardest part was removing the old sensor and putting the new one in.
Dealer 02 had a fancy schmancy plug but was over $150. YMMV
Got one with a factory plug for $85 w/free shipping from stopshopanddrive.com.........I normally use rockauto.com for internet parts orders but the cheapest OE style they had was around $115 + shipping. Hopefully the thing they send me will fit the hole, have the right connector and the wires will be long enough...........

Got it in and installed. The wires were a little short compared to the OE sensor but with some rerouting it looks like it will work fine.........
