Found it here. Sounds like he only lost a few trees.
I was watching FOX 4 news coverage of the storms tonight and they were interviewing folks who got damage from the storms in Granbury. As they were describing the damage I got to thinking if Merv's home was ok. A few seconds later, Merv was on the TV!!!!
I missed the interview though as I was telling Trina to look. How was it Merv? Everything OK?
Also, Sharpie and Darron65. You guys ok? Did you see animals being led into a big boat two by two?
Found it here. Sounds like he only lost a few trees.
Merv, where was the plug for dfwmiata.com?!?!![]()
I think that was more like 7 seconds of fame... tops...
Glad there wasn't more damage Merv...

I'm surprised I made it home. Every road around the north/south road I drove home was closed. Lots of water everywhere.

We were SOOOOOOOOO lucky. One of the bradford pears out front was layed down to the north, AWAY from the house. In the back, we lost the BIG tree just to the left of the overlook deck. It's forty feet tall and about eighteen inches in diameter. This one fell to the west and caught on a smaller tree up near the house preventing it from crashing into the deck and the house. We actually climbed thru it down to the overlook deck! I had some downspout parts on the roof, and they were off to the east, so this was not straight line winds. Had the house not been so far below the street, it would have taken the top of the stair well off. It bounced thru the vacant lot to the north, not touching the house to either side, took out more trees and a jungle jim behind them and the house you saw on TV took a direct hit. Two houses next to it had minor damage and some more trees down, but the house on the opposite side had no damage. Actually, Shelley started laughing as we went by it and said "Look at the lights." There were two big decorative light fixtures on either side of the front door, and each one had rotated almost ninety degrees. really funny looking!
Al in all, we are so thankful that it wasn't any worse. No one was hurt and almost all the downed trees missed the houses arond them. Insurance adjusters were already on site and cleanup had already begun when we got ther about 6:30. I guess we can add another ting to the sale brochure: SURVIVED the tornado with no damage..........
