Aye indeede, 70-71 Great chase car in the old movie "Vanishing Point".
My normal route to work takes me onto westbound 635 in the wee hours of the morning. In case you didn't have a radio or tv on today, a busy portion of the highway was shut down between Midway and Marsh this morning just minutes before I got to that area.
Sooooo...
During the 1.5 hours (yes, hours!) I spent between the NDTollway and Midway, I had one little moment of car porn pleasure. Perhaps a fan of American iron can help me out, here, but is this a Challenger? I'd guess '69-'71 somewhere.

That is a 71 or 72 Plymounth Roadrunner. The owner drives it most days the weather is nice (You saw this in the parking lot for Town North Bank, I live close and bank there so have seen it many times). It has a 4 speed with the "pistrol grip" shifter.........
Nice driver, not a show car. Those things didn't drive very well but went in a straight line pretty good (I had a 71 Plymouth GTX back in the day, before I figured out cars turned and braked too.)That thing is worth more than most you guys would imagine.........
The marker lights make me think it's a 72. The older Mopars used a fancier lens and housing assembly instead of the simple lamp in the photo.
