I used to go to the dallas auto impound auctions on monday mornings, back in '05. Most of the cars are junk or wrecked, but there is always a few that decent.

Check the VIN# and vehicle description on the website. You can get and idea of what the car is.

I went to quite a few of those a couple years ago, but never found anything that was worth the money. Every once in a while, you'll find some good stuff, but a bidding frenzy usually ensues and takes it up and over what you'd want to pay. Now, if it's "drug car repo" day, that's a different story. I saw a fairly nice 10 yr old S-Class Benz go for cheap one day.

There's also a place over in FW that deals specifically in drug repos - and I saw some pretty cool, clean stuff over there. Let me know if you're interested and I'll try and dig up the link...

    Thanks in advance.
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

Well... bad news... I can't find a link to that auction anywhere (but I think it was through Lone Star, so you might call them and ask) - they had their own online auction site outside of eBay. However, I seem to remember that their lot is up on Decatur street, just NE of where Samuels Ave dead ends into 23rd/Decatur. Don't quote me on this, since it's been a couple of years since I was into the auction thing.

Any of the Westies know what the hell I'm talking about???
