Thread: What wheels are these? *Pics* (duh)

Default What wheels are these? *Pics* (duh)

I'm selling these BBS wheels for a friend of mine. They're 18X(I think)8" and I believe they're BBS RS-GT's in Bright Silver.

The bolt pattern is 5X114.3, offset is +40, weight is listed as 19.1 if they are indeed the 18X8's. That's pretty freakin light for an 18" wheel...

Anyway here's pics. Can I get a confirmation on these? Thanks!

They sell for about $750 EACH If I still had a Supra, I'd be all over them

    Why?

So you could be in and out of the Wheel Technologies shop every two weeks?

True, the Supra is so heavy it would probably just squish them flat as I let the jack down

Those would look sweet on my wife's MPV. I wonder if they'd fit. Then the van would match the LE.

Are you sure they are 8" wide?

    Are you sure it's a 40mm offset and not a 45mm offset?

Has your friend put them on a scale to verify the weight?

I think it said 29 pounds. You wouldn't want them.

Agreed. I'll give you 5 dollars.

Plus I've got a BBS hanging in the garage for comparison!

Cool, I don't care if they're knock offs. I doubt they'd work on the mini-van, but damn they'd look good.

    So Titus' would they fit?

Good. I don't want to get in a bidding war with you over some sexxay street wheels. Sadly, those do look like RS-GTs. I'd prefer mine in Diamond with polished lip... New price is a little under $750 per... What's their history and how much? BTW... look for the 18x8 stamp on the rim to verify the size...

FYI wheelweights.net lists them at 19.1 to 24.4 depending on width (18x8 to 18x11)

That's where I got my info, most accurate place I know of.

The wheel says 8JX18 on it, I don't know how I missed it (looking for the model).

It also says 38 a couple of spokes over... don't know what that is though unless it's offset.

These wheels came from my friends brother in law who got them for his RX-8, then he sold the car and my friend took them and put them on his RSX. They were on for a few months, then he decided to sell them and put his older Enkei's back on. He wants me to sell them because there's not many people in a town of 4500 who would want to buy an expensive set of wheels

The first wheel has some nicks in a couple of the spokes and each has minor curb rash (he lives on a dirt road, it happens).

Personally I think they look really good but I'm not too picky

MadMonkey, your friend should just weigh them.

My friend lives 4 hours away, so I weighed them.

Exactly 20lbs according to my bathroom scales, but it's digital and only goes to .5lb measurements. That's weighing the wheel alone and then weighing it while I'm holding it.

So, being that they run about $750 each new, what should I be asking for them? I'm thinking around $1600 and posting on Craigs, the Supra forums, RSX forums, etc...
