Thread: Hardtop Hardware

    Default Hardtop Hardware

I just got a HT and I want to replace the 2 main latches. I also need the 2 striker plates for the side latches, anyone got some in the TCB price range?

I've got the new-style latches for you...I think. Let me check when I get home tonight.

Oops, I've got premature Alzeimer's. I actually have my original latches and strikers (old-style) sitting on a shelf in the garage.

No problems, I guess I will check with Mazda

    Anyone know what they cost?

Also is there anyone out there with a HD sport that is also running a HT?

HERE Is a list of parts you can use to coordinate the year of hardtop to the the hardware needed for your car.

I have the striker plates and possibly the latches, I removed the stock hardware for spec miata mounts because I got tired of adjusting the top as temperature changed.

Let me know what you think TCB is for them. The prices there are about what retail is for them.

Don't forget you will need 2 Frankenstein bolts too.

I did, but they are the old style latch(pre2003) and they don't fit right

No issue with mine. I don't have pad, so I can't tell if the pad is an issue.

Sweet, I do not have a pad either, just wondering about the space between the bar and the side latches

From that link it shows the difference from Mazda's TSB. Those are the old style.
