    Default The Beautiful People...

I'm taking Trina to her first ever rock concert, Marilyn Manson. Should she be worried?

BTW, We both enjoy his music. Anyone know when Disturbed will be on tour?

Well, what a way to be introduced... that's awesome. Took wife to see KISS for Mother's day a few years back. When you find out when Disturbed is in town, let us know... we would like to see them as well.

As long as you guys keep your distance from the pit, you should be fine. I believe BJ went to a Marilyn Manson / Robb Zombie arena concert with one of her girlfriends back when we lived in CA. She survived.

OK... talked to BJ... seems I mixed 2 different concerts... she saw Hole with Marilyn Manson. Robb Zombie was a different concert and was with Korn. She said that everyone was very respectful and she felt perfectly safe.

Funny... there was a time when that was the norm at almost all concerts. My first concert 21 years ago was Huey Lewis and the News. It was also my first contact high.

Gone are the days of Fugazi and Social D- those were actually "fun" pits... not just dudes trying to dot each others eye.

just to let you know, because you like some of manson's music don't mean you will like him live.

not sure if he's cut back but last time i saw him there was male anal insertions on stage (not man on man but man on wine bottle )and that was tame compared to some of the things later in the show. The opening band was Jack of Jill and they did far more disturbing things.

good luck and ware a full body condom.

Every Mosh Pit I have been in has been violent including the Metallica (old days) when they had Megadeth's (now) lead singer in the group and before they were complete and total sell outs, who have liquid gold running through their veins and have to sue their fans (me) over 1 song off an album I bought 9 times and is out of print but was originally released as a bootleg by the band intself to promote their music.......I hate Metallica.

I saw Manson back around 2001 I think and it was not so bad. I'm not so much into Slayer and the opening band.

When I went to college in Indiana, my buddy from New Mexico and I would attend some sweet concerts. However, every time the most pit would start and he'd make a move to it, it would shut down and start up somewhere else.

Of course, I failed to mention that Hoser (as we called him) was 6'7", about 300 lbs of muscle and every bit a Mescalero Apache. He wore all black and had long black and grey hair... a real sight in a mosh pit!

Somehow, this is a world I don't want to see...... The only concert I ever went to was Karen Carpenter! Oh well, to each his own.

You know, if Mama Cass had only given Karen Carpenter half the sandwich she was eating, they'd both be with us to this day...
