Thread: What makes an "exotic"?

Oh, the Esprit is very much an Exotic - with a capital E.

This guy back home bought one. Very proud of it and all (as well he should have been). We're all standing around admiring it. Mind you, NO ONE is within 5 feet of the car. One of the screws holding in one of the parking lights jumps out, bounces twice, and lands head down, threads up on the asphalt.

No words are spoken. 7 people stand around open-mouthed. Jack very calmly picks it up, pockets it, and says... "Soooo... Highest specific output 4 cylinder, ever!" You've gotta hear this thing rev!
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org
It only goes to show when people can no longer discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, or sexual orientation, they can improvise and still find someone to hate. - Dave Moulton

Sound like that exotic Fiat X-1/9 I had back 8 years ago.

Three on the floor(third gear was hit or miss at best), and 3-75 air conditioning. But man the hum from that engine was beautiful(when it ran).

I had the pleasure (???) to drive a friend's Alfa Spider for a couple of weeks, and it sure did sound good... but the handling was squirrelly, the switchgear inside was cheap and incomprehensible, I never figured out how to get the defroster working, and it was slooow... not so exotic, but purely Eye-talian...
