    Default Vinyl pinstriping?

    No, not for the car.

I'm toying with the idea of adding a "time attack"-style stripe to my new track wheels. Before I do something permanent like paint or powdercoat, I wanted to try putting a vinyl stripe on the wheels to see if I liked the way they look. Call it analog Photoshop.

This is what I'm thinking of doing:

Anyone know where I might be able to find vinyl pinstriping in orange or red?

Good luck on getting it straight.

You can get pinstripes at Penn Industries in Garland.

I also have thought of doing that, but will use One-Shot and a Mack 00 pinstripping brush.

Chart-pak stripes for temporary viewing should be avalable at Azle Art on the SW corner of Park and 75. In the parking lot with Fishmongers and Ojeda's

    Copy cat!

Go orange to match your numbers. I'm looking for some pinstripe tape right now also, to do my numbers to match my wheels.

I thought about it long before you ordered your P1s. From a PM I sent to Cosmos on 1/3/08:

I got flat black wheels. I'm thinking about adding an orange "time attack" style stripe to them to match my magnetics.

    What is One-Shot?

So... if I decide I like it, what might a guy like you charge to paint a pinstripe on four wheels?

This guy on Lotus talk got a decal and applied it for the desired effect. I posted to see how he did it for you guys. Another member on the board also does lots of custom decals/stickers/badges so he might have the supplies.

This guy is in Dallas and did an orange pinstripe.

I picked up some red vinyl pinstripe tape at Vatozone for $3 (40 ft. roll, 1/8" wide). They've also got 1/4" wide that would work well on your wheels. It's very easy to work with and the curve on an 18" wheel should be pretty easy.

    Sorry, didn't see any orange.

IIRC old school when I worked with the artist at the TV station, he said that stuff worked much better warm. Put it in the garage and turn the heat up.
