Default Portable Tire Inflator - Air Compressor

    All,

Can anyone recommend one of these air pumps?

I think I saw that Walmart carries the Slime one here:

But I'm worried about the 15 amp load on the Miata. Suggestions welcome.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Then when it get run over in grid or paddock by you or one of your competitors your out less than $20.00.

The one that came with you car works well also that is currently what I have! My sister in law gave it to me before she traded in her MX5.

Just be sure to not use your cigarette lighter. It has a heat based fuse into the back and will cost $25 to replace. Ask me how I know. Get a pig tail that goes from a 12v plug to battery clips.

Ok, this is going to make me look like an idiot ... but ... that's never stopped me before. Are you saying that my NC came with an air pump???

Does you car have a spare in the trunk?? If it doesn't Mazda included a tire kit with air pump.

You may want to crack open your owners manual and review the section about tires and flats.

It does not have a spare. But the way the dealer explained it, I thought it was like a canister of air with some fix-a-flat in it or something. I will most definitely take a look at this section in manual today in the hopes that I don't have to buy a pump and cart that around.

Inflate the doll before you take her out on a date. Problem solved.

    I like Ken's suggestion.

POS is right. Your car came with a tire inflation kit. That includes the compressor and a handy bottle of Fix-A-Flat, all in a nice little presentation case.

I've been using the compressor that came with my RX-8 since '06 at autocross and track events. Still works fine.
