Equipe Rapide Challenge Cup #4, 6/2/13, Mesquite Memorial

You are invited to attend Equipe Rapide on June 2nd at Mesquite Memorial Stadium. We are going to blow some or all of the course between heats. We are also looking for options to get the ER trailer to the site. If you would like your work assignment to be trailer tow which is a paid position please PM me to discuss the details.

I've got a 99 F150 that I used to tow the biggest Uhaul trailer they have with all my belongings. Think it would work for the ER trailer?

Do you have a hitch, or just the bumper? V6 or V8?

My 1500 Dodge ram will pull it with an equalizer hitch which can be borrowed for the tow. You will need a receiver on the truck, not bumper mounted ball. You won't be breaking any speed records while towing because it is heavy and catches a lot of wind. It does have hydraulic trailer brakes that work very well without the need for any electronic brake controller. The trailer can be picked up in Southlake or in Krum or I might be able to meet someone somewhere with it.

Its a V8. I have a ball hitch...but it sounds like that won't work from what Andy said

I would be cautious with using a bumper mounted ball on this thing. It would probably work fine but there is always the chance that it would rip your bumper off.

The hitch is pretty stout...how heavy is the trailer?

I spoke with my next door neighbor today and he will be towing the trailer. The logistics work pretty well considering it is parked in front of his house right now.

ER has a second push behind blower now. The new one is smaller than the old one but blows just as hard. I'm trying to think of a blow hard name for the smaller blower. What do you think? Be nice, there are women, children, and Mick that see this board.
