PS
Annual Tech at Pennington on 3/15/14.
Is the annual tech done only in the morning or all day while the school is going on? I may have to work that morning.
Bob Neff will be doing Annual Tech from 9am to 4pm at the site next to the stadium on Saturday. Make sure to take a moment and download the checklist that you need to present to them at the time of inspection. Also, if your name isn't on the approved list, contact Bob prior to that Saturday. His contact info is listed in the PDF info page.

I think I'm going to sign up for this! I haven't done an SCCA event in 18 years, so .... should I sign up for Novice?
Hopefully I can get my car back to an STR legal state by then ...
Hmm... SCCA at Oennington or BMWCCA at Mesquite? Neither are ideal...

I don't think you can run novice after having multiple FTD's in the past couple of seasons.

Well, it wouldn't let me sign up in Novice, so STR it is I guess!

Can anyone give me guidance on classing my 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata Touring (stock)? It seems eligible for 2 difference classes:
CS - C Street Class :: Mazda MX-5 Miata (non-MS-R) (2006-14)
STR - Street Touring Roadster :: Mazda MX-5 Miata (2006-13)
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Brian
Life is fun with the top down!
Since you're 'new', stock and have no R-compound race tires, you should probably sign up for NCS (Novice C-stock).
STR cars are modified. (Bigger wheels/tires, shorter springs, ECU flashed, blah, blah, blah)
