I hope we go over the crest the same way we did at the last event. It was the first course I actually liked going over it.

Also enjoyed the sweeper-type element over the hill.

Best run from COTA autox today, 36.0xx, good for 1st in class and 2nd overall. 1st overall was not KenO, so...

205/50/15 RE71R unshaved 85 mile heat cycle scrub session on county roads.
Very predictable & tossable tire. Crisp turn-in and even more forgiving than r1r. We just worried about dialing in pressures yesterday and did not touch shocks. Could have used less compression due to bumps and a bit more rebound. Did not spray and tires did not get greasy. Sweet spot for 205/50/15 on 7.5 is between 27 & 25 psi. Be warned these tires have a lot of mold release and really need to be scrubbed well. Would also suspect that people used to V1 kooks will disappointed with treadwear. Plan to put them on the test course this weekend if the weather holds.
Looks like wear may be an issue : http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=187

We did not see that kind of wear and LSP is pretty abrasive. 20 miles is not enough of a heat cycle so that could be ssomething Camber challenged car for sure. Evidence of serious understeer fom the pic. 245 is a chunk of tire on a 7.
Yeah, 245 is much too big for 7"
