Tire Tail or Cargo Carrier?

I'm considering putting a receiver hitch on the NC, and trying to find a Tire Tail, or maybe use a flat cargo carrier (like this - https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Cargo...rt/C18145.html) to haul tires.

Thoughts?

I did look at aluminum carriers, but the ones I found were a 2" receiver. NC hitch would be 1.25".

I have a tire tail. I would prefer a trailer.

Edit: Some feedback on the tire tail. Never had any issues using it. Went beteeen DFW and Lubbock a few times with it. The only reason I'd like a trailer instead is more room for stuff.

My answer to your original question is tire tail, if you are going to be hauling tires. But, like blackzx3_13, I prefer a small tire trailer to a tire tail.

I still have my tire tail that I used on the ZX2. It is my own design. I cut every thing the way I wanted it, then had an NHRA certified chassis builder weld it up for me. (It's nice to know people.) When you get your hitch, you can borrow my tire tail to give it a try if you like. It is for a 1 1/4" receiver.

I thought about an adapter, but that would just cantilever that weight further off the back of the car.

I agree a trailer is nice to haul more stuff, but it has to be stored, tags renewed, tires checked, etc, etc.

I had TrackDog Racing install a Hard Dog hidden hitch on my Club. It requires bumper removal to install, which is why I didn't want to do it myself. It mounts very securely, and pulls a trailer like it's not even there.

I have a spare tire trailer I'd be willing to sell. I'll post up a picture of it later today in FS.

Scored a Curt hitch off of CL.

The Curt hitch seems to work OK with bike racks, so it might be OK with a Tire Tail. A trailer puts a lot less stress on things, though.

^I do already have a receiver bike carrier (not to mention the truck), so I'm set there. BTDT with the little trailer....I'm over it.
