How about the floor jack trick? I have a heavy duty one, if you have another.
Does anyone have a set of wheel skates I could borrow?
I need to move napping car about 3 feet to the left.

I tried that today and failed just don't have much room. The Cadillac is in a 10' wide self-store and it is 6' 6" wide so not much room. Can't push it outside due to the incline in the lot, I'd have no hope of pushing it back inside even if I got lots of help. Extra Bonus the Self Store folks frown on working on the car on premisis...
Starter died and I need to pull it the last time I put it away I got it about 4" off the wall on the passenger side. Of course, the starter is on the passenger side.

Don't you have furniture dollys for moving heavy machinery?
Put the drivers side on jack stands and slide in from that side to get to the starter?
Lay on your side, or rent VegaMike for a few hours....
Do you mean wheel dollies? I have 4 of the orange ones that Northern sells. They are not the jacking type
So last week I just decided to rough it and pulled the starter it was a PITA! But I got it out. It was surprisingly tough to get out considering the vast real estate you have available under the hood of a '67 Cadillac!
Took it to Fort Worth Generator & Starter Service on Sylvania this morning. Really cool old school shop, not many of these around anymore!
Should have my starter back in about a week or so (due to the Holidays).
