Thanks for the add. I bought a 95 a little over a year ago and have been rebuilding the thing ever since. Full suspension update and turbo addition. Finally got it roadworthyish and ready for a tune when I completely lost oil pressure and likely killed my motor. Just my luck. Looks like another extended period before I'll be back on the road. Currently weighing my options on the motor, but I've already got $13k invested into a $2k car so I'm not too excited about it. I had hoped to get some use out of the stock motor as I built up the parts for forged motor. I guess I'm now going straight to stage 5 of my build! punchout:
First Miata. First time messing with a turbo. First time dealing with an aftermarket ECU. Little did I know! #FNG
Welcome aboard. Turbo/ECU not easily done for the inexperienced, as you now know.
Get it ready for Miatas at Hallett outside of Tulsa in September.
Miatas are stupid.
Welcome to this.....
I found fairly large pieces of hard black plastic bits sitting on the top of the oil filter went I removed it. I can't think of anything that's plastic in a location that could get into the oil supply. I won't know for sure until the motor is torn down, but any ideas?
I did come up short a couple of Legos on the last kit I happened to be building in the shop while I was buttoning up the motor. I guess I shouldn't have used the oil pan to hold all the pieces.
PVC is a likely candidate- I'll take a look tonight. Time to dump that time bomb anyway.
