And yes, forgot to give you folks detailed info on my Miata. It is 2002, 1.8L L4 DOHC 16V
Hi everyone, folks, can someone please help me determine the reason, why my Miata stalls?
It happened several times this week already, and now I'm having hard time starting it. Now, the spark plugs are okay, as well as the wires. I hear starter runs okay.
What is the next thing I should check? Because I do not really like these symptoms so far...
Thanks

Throwing any codes? CEL on?
Does it stall seconds after starting?
How old is the battery? They do weird stuff when it gets really cold or really hot.

Yea I have checked the codes and the code readings say it is the idle control valve, so I will have to replace it I guess...
I found one for sale, yet I do not even imagine what that is!
Now, can someone briefly explain to me, how do I replace it? Or just kindly direct me to the thread that explains this stuff? Or a good online instruction?
Or that's not a DIY thing?...
Thanks

In some cases, you can clean out an Idle Air Control Valve rather than replace it.
^Be sure to use Throttle Body cleaner, not Carb cleaner.
