    Default Light weight batteries

I figured the AX crowd might be interested to know PasswordJDM is having a sale on lightweight Odyssey batteries.

I have bought from them in the past and I haven't had any problems.

Batteries Plus in Plano also has information on an end cap about the odessy batteries and an example or two on the floor.

I don't know what their prices are, but thought it a nice alternative to Gel cells.

Prices still look high. The PC680 they have for the "introductory price" of $99 can be found for around $60-$70 elsewhere.

Oh OK sorry I didn't know. I was just considering that the $99 is still lower than the popular Buddy Club batteries that go for 150-175.

Too bad those airbag covers aren't for DC5's, I could have saved myself a couple thousand

Sorry, I hadn't checked on them in a while, but they're $80 here:

It depends on the mowing season...... Just about now, they should start showing up. The last one we put in a Miata came from Sam's and was, IIRC $19.95.

Are they sealed/safe to run in our trunks? Any idea how much they weigh?

I wouldn't put one in a daily driver, but it's great for racing, 'cause you only use it occassionally :) Weight? Probably 1/3rd.
