Nice cart. Here is the one I built.
As some may remember, TC, Altiain, and I took a welding class last fall and I subsequently bought a welder. Got some work on my first project with the thing this last weekend.
Apparently, if you buy a mig welder, you are required to built a cart for it (according to all the welder sites I've been reading anyway). It's not finished yet, but getting closer. I have the front wheels but didn't have the right bolts to put them on. I need to put a shelf (or something) in the space below the welder and then some hooks and what not to wind cords around.

Don't think it will fit in a Miata. And it weighs around 500 lbs.
The top is a 34x50 inch piece of 1/2 plate steel. The top and bottom are made of 3x3x1/4 inch angle and the legs are 3x3x1/8 inch rectangular tube. The wheels are industrial roller casters rated at about 500 lbs each.

Cut it off the end of a pipe?
Looks good Dave... What size tank is that and what did it cost? I need to get my shielding gas but can't decide if I really need a big tank or if I can live with a small one... yours looks in between the 2 sizes I saw at TSC.
It's the largest size Home Depot sells... I want to say (from memory mind you) buying your first full tank is ~$240 and then you can exchange empty for full for around $30. They were the cheapest on the refills I found anywhere. I think they call it a size Q. LINK HERE
