hhhmmmm......need to check my tire size tonight...
I did a quick spot check at Tire Rack and Tread Zone and didn't see anything available outside of track tires - although Tread Zone showed to have the Hankook RS3 (140 treadwear). For those of you running this size on the street now, what's the plan when your current boots wear out?

If you're addicted to cold turkey how do you stop?
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
RS3s are on national backorder last I heard. Tire Rack took them down when they got backordered, put them back up when they thought they were coming back, and then took them back down again now.
I love my Toyo T1R 215-45-15 on 15x8 for the street.
Ah, I didn't know they made a 215/45... I thought I might have to go back to a 205/50. Hmmm...

I've been pondering this question for a few weeks now
It saddens me...
Any one have a clue as to when the RS3 will be off back order.
BTW: Toyo R1R is made in 225/45/15 but its about $160 a tire. And appears to be inferior to the RS3 for $115
Blah blah blah!
I wish I had a clue when. I had to go with 205s because they had just gone on backorder when I ordered wheels and tires earlier this year. Now I am jumping to 245 R1Rs on 17s to get some meat. Hopefully get those mounted before next autox to run on (don't work well stacked in garage for some reason).
I <3 this thread!
Since one of my (discontinued) RS2s picked up a nasty nail, I've been looking to just replace the set. R1R & RS3 were top of the list as options I could have for track & limited street use.

This is a bit disconcerting, as I'm currently on 225/45/15's, and even though I'm still a ways away from replacing them, I'm starting to put together ideas now as to what I want to get... this may be the motivation I need to jump to RPF1's. I've been thinking about 17's, but they're almost 6lbs per wheel heaver than the 15's. And the black ones are no longer listed in the catalog in any size.

Powdercoating is your friend. ANY color you want and super durable. I have my 17s getting done in black now... I ran into a deal on some in green that I couldn't pass up the price, but no way was I going to run a red and green christmas themed miata.
