    Default Miatas at Hallett 2019

Connie has already sent out info about the 2019 Miatas at Hallett. Only now it appears that the name will need to be changed. Maybe something like "Somewhat Miata-ish Cars at Hallett" would be appropriate. Her email below states she has already approved a few non-Miatas, including S2000, FR-S, and WRX-STI. (Note those are all higher horsepower than a Miata.)

I'm disappointed that it's no longer going to be an exclusive Miata event. I think it will make it harder to attract Miata-driving first-timer track newbies to the event. On the other hand, it will open up a fun event to a number of our fellow autocross and track friends who drive "Miata-ish" cars that Connie approves.

I'm also concerned that the event might get too crowded. I don't know how many cars can run simultaneously in a run group there before excessive traffic becomes an issue. If you can't get a few good laps in per session without having to deal with traffic, it takes a lot of the fun out of it.

What do y'all think about it?

    Connie's email:

    WOW! Miatas@Hallett #16 was awesome.
    Mark your calendars for Miatas @Hallett #17 Sept 6 & 7, 2019
Are YOU planning to be a part of this Miata celebration? Online registration opens March 1st Be sure to update your info when you register; you can order everything online except if you want a raceport, email [email protected] (see contest below)
For a room at the Hampton Inn, I recommend you call 918-245-8500 and ask for Liz (who works Mon – Fri 7 to 3) That way you will be certain to get the Hallett discounted rate.
Remember the good times we had last September http://www.hallettfotoshoppe.com/Miatas2018/
Tell your compadres who have Miata-ish cars they are invited to join us this year. They can just send me an email with a description of their cars and I will let them know if they are suitable for our event. I already approved a few coming with a Miata group from CO (S2000, FR-S, STI).

BTW, Did you know Miatas@Hallett drivers the past two years came from 11 states?
The first three to name all (the states, not the drivers!) will get a discount on a raceport. Email your list today! [email protected]

    My thoughts also.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

^Yep...if more Miatae signed-up, they wouldn't have to look for other cars.
