Cars and motorcycles are being ticketed for literally just touching the double yellow line that indicates no passing allowed.
I like how the dick-shit cop is halfway in both lanes in the picture and not writing himself a ticket.

We are just seeing one instance in time. I'm sure that as soon as he realized that he was in violation of the law that he pulled over and wrote himself a ticket. The photographer must have run out of space on his card and missed the photo opportunity.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I didnt read the whole story, but ticketing for touching the yellow line is fine by me. That is how people get killed. You should be in enough control of your car that you can stay all the way on your side of the road. Go read killboy.com and see how many jackasses are all the way into the other lane on a blind corner.

A lot of the yellow line stories I have been hearing are where an officer has Car A pulled over on the shoulder giving him a ticket, and Car B has to touch or cross the yellow line to get around the pulled over car A. At this point another officer appears out of no where (and usually crossing the same line to get past car A) to ticket car B.

Ofcourse more of the story always changes it. That is shady, and it does seem like they are trying to run people off.

I like the "Rider ticketed for standing up on the pegs at 25mph to stretch" one.

Hell, I'm surprised that at this point they didn't have their own radar guns to see how fast the po-po was traveling through there. The video of the officer crossing the yellow looks like he was coming pretty fast through there and slowed down by the time he went by the camera.

Anyone who has actually driven the Dragon knows how dangerous "some" drivers there are.
Between the Semi's (which should be outlawed on 129) and those Asshats that drive faster than their able, are screwing it up for all.

I love going to the Gap, but don't see the Po-po getting any better.

It really pisses me off that cops are not held to a higher standard.

Not Dragon related, but my buddy got pulled over the other night on his way back from work... and got a ticket for and improper right turn, because he didn't turn into the far right lane on a right turn.

It was 2AM, so there wasn't a hell of a lot of traffic out. The Dallas cop was just being a dick, and was probably looking to fill some quota.

If I had an effing nickel for every time I saw a cop driving like an ass and generally breaking the rules of the road, I'd be one rich mofo...

Anyhow, I better stop before I start getting wound up over this...

Whatever. Police seem to LOVE to do these roving crackdowns. I bet it will largely be back to normal in a month or so.

    Hmmmm.......

This definitely doesn't help me get any closer to respecting officers.

Ya don't think the story was written on the side of the offended do ya?

It is always nice to get both sides of a story before basing opinions, just because someone posted it on the Internet doesn't always make it the gospel.

BTW. I'm a fan of law enforcement, have some friends who actual protect and serve you mouth breathers.
