    Default Howdy everyone

    Hey everyone,

My name is Karson Swartz and I live in Waco. I have owned a miata before but gave it to my sister about a year ago. Presently I have a 96 Corvette lt4 6 speed but Ive been looking to get something more friendly on my wallet so I decided to sell the vette and get another miata. Tonight I won an auction on a 96 and I think I did pretty good. The selling point for me was the top and overall maintenance and condition. Anyhow I have been on the outside looking in at this place for a few months now and decided that now that I have one again, I should join. I look forward to getting to know everyone. Here is the link to the auction for the car. I'd love to get some feedback from you guys. I'll be playing with it some as I cant ever leave a car alone but id love to hear what yall think. Thanks guys and thanks for letting me be a part of this group. -Karson

Welcome! I know someone who lives in Waco.

There's a lot of around here, but there is also a lot of good info to be found.

I am on SHO forum, but i met you when you sold the car to a buddy of mine. I was the guy with the blue and white zx2. Greenbean was the best looking sho I ever saw. My brother last year bought a green sho from tysho and we painted the rims gunmetal, but it just wasn't the same. It's an atx. I might take over it and fix it up for a daily.

Welcome, Nimblethimble! Great car set up perfect for stock class autocross, aside from the drilled brake rotors and goofy tires. Learn how to drive it on those tires then upgrade. Enjoy and have fun.

Ahh yea I remember ya bud. Yea I miss that car. I was looking at another green gen2 to buy but it had over 200k miles so i decided to go with the miata. I new Brett was on here but I hadnt heard from him in a while. Last I heard someone set greenbean on fire in his back yard. That was a sad deal. That car would fly too!

Tysho did alot of maintenance stuff to that car you've got if I remember right. I'd build the tranny up a bit and put a cooler on it and you will be set. The atx isnt too bad in those cars if its set up right. It would be perfect for a daily driver.

I was thinking about that actually. I used to autox my vette pretty frequently but I need to research and see what the regulations are on mods for stock class because this car has adjustable koni's on it as well as an intake and exhaust. Im not too sure how I will like those rotors yet. I had a set on a previous vette I had about a year ago and the new owner cracked one of them on a practice autox. I never had any issues with them but I guess he uses brakes harder than I do. I'd definitely like to get involved in some autox events though.
