How long will it take for this fad to hit the US?
Wealth, power, and experience are apparently not enough to save us from social influences. Groupthink, as described by I.L.Janis, is the tendency for group members to reach a consensus opinion, even if that decision is downright stupid (Janis 1982).

What is with them reeving the motor?
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

My brother and I were thinking of building a "Super Rice" car from a cheap Civic.. one of the ideas was to make a dual exhaust that ran from in front of the rear wheels up to the height of the roof, with fart cans. Yes, I think those cars are cool at some level.. not something I would do though

I remember that video years ago. Apparently they were cars from a cartoon show....

From what I have heard, it is known as Bosozuko style, and the point is to grab as much attention as possible and preferable to upset as many people (especially law enforcement) as possible. If you are disgusted or offended by what they did to their cars, they have won. I think the group behind the trend was a bike gang in Japan.

I actually think some of those cars look pretty cool minus the stupid exhausts. They kinda remind me of old school pissed looking off hot rods.
