Looks like you and 166 of your friends at this point! :P A quick check of registration shows rx7gslse, Kestrel, tailchaser, altiain, Mark52, POS, 3Bean, lost216, Brock, onething, gabkwong, Ataim and sammm.

what do i need to know

Make sure your car will pass tech inspection. Battery secure, brakes in good working order, tires and wheels bearings in good shape, throttle cable adjusted properly. altiain should be able to add to that list.

Yikes your first SCCA event is going to be an SCCA TMS event.

The key thing you will need is patients, it's a fun day buts it's going to be a long one. Oh yea set yourself up for only 3 runs since that's what happened last time around!

Bring a cooler with food and water since nothing at the track is normally open, closest place is back at the freeway.

Do you need to have a parent consent form? If not you need to have some form filled out for the event. Anyone know what he may need if he applies.

Actually, it won't be your first. 3 prior SCCA events required.

My first event ever was at TMS. I didn't even have time to change the Pep Boys Futura tires that came on the car. At least I wasn't the slowest novice out there though. I can say that it was really fun, but not very fast.

Ohhhh... How are they going to "police" that? Is someone going through the on-line registration list and matching names to previous events to ensure they've run 3 events? What if they ran 900 events last year -- or in 2000, or in 1945 -- but none this year (or only 1, or only 2)... are they going back to records from those years, or is it just that they must have run 3 events in 2004 in order to run? That is a ton of very detailed work, and a complete nightmare for somebody. I hope that somebody isn't you, tailchaser...

Like Kestrel said, how are they going to police everyone that registers? I wouldn't sweat it.
