    Default Bluebonnet Tour

My wife and I are trying to set up a trip 4/11-4/13 to go look at the Bluebonnets. We've done this in Ennis a bunch of times so we know that route pretty well. Does anyone have a route through the area around Marble Falls that would combine some wildflowers with some fun roads?

We might be interested. I'll check with the wife to see how that w/e looks for us.

When you've done the Ennis routes, did you ever follow 660 through Bristol and on to Slate Rock or Stacks Road?

my reply reveals that I have a sarcastic shell that is valiantly trying to hide the hopeless romantic side of me which I have tried to suppress for the last 3 years. If I had a girlfriend or wife, I'd be all over this...

Barbara and I went down to Wimberly in 2000, with LSMC, and had a blast.
We hit Gruene Hall and Luckenbach.
We would be up for something like that again.

Here's the way it's shaping up.

4/11 (Friday) DFW to Llano, leaving DFW about 10 am.
4/12 Southwest Loop out of Llano, returning for a second night in Llano
4/13 Llano to DFW (Side trip to Ennis for those who haven't had enough wildflowers or driving

Still Interested? Hotels are scarce in Llano, I have contacted some people about a B&B, hoping to hear back today. Let me know if you're still interested.

Maps of suggested routes to follow.
