    I picked up a set of 1.8 brakes for my 1.6 and I am very happy with the results.

    Don't forget the Hawk HPS pads...

    I got a set of drilled rotors + the Hawk pads and it stops veerrrry niiiiice.

    Best bang for the buck is upgrading to 1.8 brakes and good pads. The after-market kits are not necessary for most drivers.
