Thread: Coolant boiling

    Default Coolant boiling

After a normal drive from work on warm days, I notice gurgling sound from under the hood and the coolant was bobbling in the reservoir when I park the car. The temp gauge was always below the middle mark and never ran hot. Is it the thermostat? What do you think?

    Thanks,
    Gab

I've heard mine gurgling before after it has been parked. That's when the car gets hot. No more fan(s) or air moving across the radiator. That's why there's a hot and normal line on the overflow bottle.

So, it is perfectly OK as long as I am not runing hot?!

I replaced the radiator, cap, hoses and the thermostat just 18 months ago!
