Lightbulb Nautilus Air Horn by Thompson

    Speaking of air horns...

I got one of these, brand new in the box:
    http://www.thompson-automotive.com/Air_Horn.html

Thought I would put it on something (car, motorcycle, riding mower, office chair) but haven't gotten around to it.

Anyone wanna give me $40 for it? That's a whopping 5% discount off a new one, not to mention how much you stand to save on shipping (if you can take delivery at an eastside meet & greet).

That's a distinct possibility for me... does it come with the mounting brackets and stuff too? I could stick my CRI's on the Teg (it has a "meep meep" horn that is almost as bad as a stock Miata).

Yessir -- this is the complete Thompson kit, not just the horn.

    Default Bring it Wednesday

If Mad Monkey doesn't want it I'll probably buy it. Especially if it's as loud as or louder than Carrazzie's Crazy Red's. I can barely hear my own stock horn at highway speed with the top down.

Be my guest... you need it more than I do if you still have the stock horn. I already have air horns.

I've got one and it's plenty loud! In fact, I've been thinking about getting another one to put on the wife's Prelude. And the install is easy.

Thanks MadMonkey! If you're sure you don't mind then I'll get it. I haven't done so sooner because I suspect I'll have to remove the bumper cover on my NC. I was easily able to work through the grill opening on Carazzie's when I installed hers. If I do remove the cover I may go ahead and get a CAI while I'm at it too.

No problem. I have thing for horns, so I'm always buying them anyway

You guys are like the BumpMonkeys or something... :)

I'm partial to Bone Daddy's for some reason (can't seem to put my finger on it) but wouldn't mind Twin Peaks (Plano) or BJs (Plano).

Eh, we (all 5 of us) went to BD's last week and IMHO the Twin Peaks gals are friendlier (although not quite as, um, gifted). If I had to pick I'd say Twin Peaks Plano... should someone just go ahead and bump this thread over and make it an "East Side GTG" thread?

I don't think I will make it. It's a long way from Toronto to Plano...

Either is fine with me. (TP or BD, that is; between Toronto and Plano it's a no-brainer.) If the majority wants Twin Peaks Plano, I'll be there.
