Thread: White NA, comin atcha.

    Default White NA, comin atcha.

    Hi all.
Searching "Dallas" and "Miata" led me here. I'm moving to Plano from Easton, PA in a few weeks, arriving on August 9th or thereabouts. I have a white 1995, mostly stock, though I recently installed a new sound system with amplifier with the help of miata.net. That was alot of fun. I'm no longer clueless about electronics and I can now probably strip my interior while blindfolded. I wanted to do the Hakuna sub thing, but couldn't justify spending the cash on a tool that can cut metal. Occasionally though miata.net doesn't have all the answers, or at least an answer that I'm willing or able to try on my own, so hopefully someone here can lead me to an honest mechanic in the area since I'll be saying goodbye to my trusted honest mechanic at home.

One interesting thing I'm doing is taking the "scenic route" in my car, heading south to Savannah, Georgia before heading West, so I should have some sweet pics to post when I formally announce my arrival if anyone is interested.

Welcome! While I know the Miata trunks are small, do you think you could bring some cooler weather with you?

    Welcome!

You'll find Dallas to be a mix of great food and shitty drivers. We have a great eclectic mix of both.

As for mechanics? You aren't too far from Town North Mazda which has a good service department. Rogue kicks ass on Miatae but is over north of Fort Worth. Worth the drive, but sometimes you just can't get a broken Miata over there easily.

There ARE places to avoid like the plague when it comes to Miata service. Feel free to ask on the board. Many members here have had good and bad service experiences they'd be happy to share, me included.

Packing cooler weather into that small trunk would be like farting upwind in a hurricane. It's not going to make a bit of difference.

Just cause your vehicle registrations for the past year comprised the state's budget for Toilet paper doesn't mean the state has high taxes.

    Or does it?

Ken is feeling the tax problem pretty hard since he went through cars like the state went through toilet paper this past year.

I'm actually looking forward to skipping winter and driving the miata year round, but I'll miss the mild falls and springs. We're all "gosh, hot enough for ya!?" when it's 90 which I hear is nothing compared to Texas but it's all good. I really wish I could bring the hills and a few more trees with me though. That flat horizon might make me go cross eyed.

Thanks for the two pages of hellos! +1 for the area I'm moving to for having an active Miata community.
