Thread: Taillight lens

    Default Taillight lens

Yesterday I was pulling so many G's at the autocross that my left tailight lens fell off! Well actually it appears the car recently had a close encounter while parked, since the bumper cover and side reflector were also tweaked a bit. I took a quick look on the pointy board but didn't see anyone else with this problem.

Does anybody know how the lens is supposed to be attached? It appeared to be held in by some kind of adhesive.

He's just lucky that it didn't shatter when it came off on the course. Plus, he could've put an eye out!

A few drops of Super-Glue should work.

That is a: slot driven rotory fibrous materials fastener type.

Super glue and plastic don't get along very well. I would try model cement. (I did try it in elementery school and had to repeat 5th grade).
