Hey whats up? Im Daniel, I have a 2002 Miata, its stock for now, I bought it about 4-5 months ago with 26,000 miles, I finally joined, and i wanted to know where yall meet around here, I live in Fort Worth off of Western center and North Beach street, so any info would help alot, this is my first miata and I love it! Im wanting to do a couple suspension mods and a couple engine mods, but Im not very familiar with Mazdas, used performance parts would help too. Thanks. Pics are crappy, taken with phone.

Im not quite sure yet, since I am in college, money is always an issue, so whatever is good quality, yet affordable. So probably not full coilovers, how do Eibach's ride on Miatas? I had sportlines on my civic and corrado and I loved the way those rode, but what kind of mods would you suggest?

Best bang for the buck would probably be Flyin' Miata springs and KYB AGX shocks.

The KYBs are cheapest on eBay.

I'm sure a lot of people will agree that Tein S-Tech springs and KYB AGX shocks, coupled with FCM bumpstops is a VERY good, inexpensive suspension upgrade.

Heck, I could afford it so I'm sure you can

Just learn from my experience and don't buy cheap coilovers on Ebay

It all depends what you want to do with the car. A lot of folks seem to get along fine with stock springs, but to each his/her own.

    Welcome

Leave it stock for a while. Look at and ride in some that are modified before you do anything

Welcome! You should definitely drive it stock for a while. You'd be surprised how good of a suspension the Miata has from the factory. I've driven mine stock for a while. Also bring it out to an autocross, most fun you can have driving a car. Daniel is a good name by the way

well let me know when yall meet up next like a couple days in advanced, that would be cool, but that is a good idea, I think I will leave it stock for awhile. Thanks

Welcome! You'll usually find a bunch of us at a local autocross. Check here for details. Pennington and Birdville ISD Stadium are both close by. No excuses.

At last Sunday's Equipe Rapide autocross, there were 18 drivers (of 77 total) in Miatas. Ten of them were driving "SCCA stock" Miatas. Those 18 drivers took home 10 trophies and 5 of them earned money in the Rapid PAX competition.
