Default Nautilus Air Horn Saved Me This Morning!

The air horn was so loud that it scared the driver of the Ford Expedition and they jerked the steering wheel to get back into their lane. These air horns are well worth the money!!

I mounted mine with the horn hole (technical term eh?) is pointed towards the radiator.

Do you guys have yours facing out?

Yes, mine is facing the radiator. Hopefully it won't get as much crap in the horn holes!

Why dont you stick it in your horn hole.

Makes sense... I never thought of it ingesting bugs and road debris.

I guess it does not matter facing towards the rear since the radiator will throw most of the sound forward.

That won't keep the mud daubers out. If the horns don't show, most truck drivers stretch a piece of nylon stocking over the horn and secure it with a rubber band. Belive it or don't airhorns are the loudest when pointed directly at the ground. Mine are mounted under the cab and pointed down on my new truck.

Yep that's mine. There was no extra charge for the bugs. As far as bringing it to a gtg, I haven't been to one where it would fit. Maybe Gary's sometime. BTW it's one of the new "green" diesels with a 14.6 liter Cat, running twin turbos at 42psi boost. 1300 foot pounds of torque at 1200 rpm. It will thunder at you under a load but there is no smoke.
