Default Indoor Karting in Frisco SOON!

From the SCCA mailing list. Might be fun during the off-season AX months!

Heard from a reliable source that there is one of these wheel-to-wheel Indoor Karting centers going to be built in Frisco in a few months.

Looks like this chain uses 18hp electric karts, which is a bummer, but I've never driven an electric and it might be as good as the gas. Having raced at the Track 21 in Houston with groups of autocrossers before, I can assure you its a total blast. Physically demanding but worth the effort. If this chain is anything like others in the USA they will likely have racing leagues, endurance races, etc. We'll see.

Sounds interesting. My biggest gripe with the old place in Dallas was the inconsistency of the karts.

When it runs out of juice halfway around the track from the pit entrance, it ain't an excuse.

Besides, I could never hang with a Georgia National Tour winnar and professional Phooey Racing driver.

Sounds like a gtg in Frisco in a few months. West side vs East side. The west side still claims Thomas.

Sweet, from all the kart places I've been a good electric kart is better than gas. They stay more reliable and consistent, meaning your friend can't get the "good one" and kick your butt when they're not the better driver!
