    Default Steering wheel puller

I am going to need a steering wheel puller soon, I hope. Does anyone know which one/size I need and where I can borrow/rent/buy one? Do I really need one? I didn't see one on Harbor Freights website.

HF has generic pullers, in store atleast.

I have taken off the steering wheel on both my 1990 (ignition swap) and 1994 (redyeing leather grip). I did not need a steering wheel puller either time. If you need my big GUNS to help, let me know. :)

You probably don't need one (wiggle it off), but O'Reilleys has a nice loaner puller that will fit any car. The Miata uses the little hooks instead of threads on that puller, and its very easy. Still, try working it off first. also, don't forget to depower the airbag first!

Also, leave the nut slightly on so you don't give yourself a self-inflicted wound when it does come free.

I dind't need a puller when I did mine. It just popped off. I think those pullers are for cars built in pre- 70's or really early 80's
    Blah blah blah!
