Thread: Brake Flush GTG 1/8/05

    Default Brake Flush GTG 1/8/05

I think I have convinced POS Racing to host a Brake Flush GTG in the next week or two. We should have a date up as soon as he admits that the 2004 calendar just won’t work for planning 2005 events.

I was going host this GTG, but now that Titus went and hurt my feelers! :P

Actually I did agree to this figure we could do a 1/2-day fluid flush GTG.

I do need to look at a 2005 calendar and see what could work do you kids have any preferences?

My brakes are already done, but I would like to refill the tranny and diff with synthetic.

If it's sooner rather than later, I'd like to do the B&T... If it's later... then the new owner can flush it.

If I get there early, will there be enough time to check my bumper stops on my rear shocks?

    Any weekend except the 26th.

    Oh no!!! It's too late!

Every 6-12 months is optimal, never more than 2 years unless you want your critical brake parts to corrode away. Brake fluid is cheap, and a single quart is usually sufficient.

Ok.............I'm in. Will probably go with synthetic on the tranny as well.

Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

    The sooner, the better.

Can some one make shopping lists for each fluid change for the mechanically challenged?
Weight, amount, brand recommendation, etc. for brake, trans, rear, and radiator flushes!

This Saturday the 8th Perhaps? I'd prefer to keep this just a fluid flush GTG, but we may be able to assist some of you who need to do more.

Perhaps we could get a head count and also see what that head would like to accomplish. I don't want to bite off more than we can chew.

Another note is to be ready to go to work when you show up. Have your fluids, special tools, drain pans, ramps, etc. with you when you arrive.
