Hopefully the 'new & improved' Azenis will be just that!

    Me hopes they're lighter.

I went from the Azenis back to the T1-S. The Azenis scared me in the wet. They are supposedly improving their wet weather handling.

The T1-S has phenomenal wet grip but the Azenis are better when it's dry. The Toyos also talk more.

Funny. I loved the Toyos the first time I had them but I think I'll go back to the Azenis next time.

The T1-S is badddddddddddddd when it is less than 40 degree. Traction is much lower than when it is warmer. The worse part is that it "flat spot" at lower temp, and takes several miles of street driving to get it warm up.

IMHO Azenis have better wet traction. The main factor for traction in the rain is the historisis(SP) of the road with rubber compound being second to that. I think the Azenis rubber is softer than T1-S's.

The only advantage the T1-S has is maybe better hydroplane resistance. They both suck in the cold and snow though.

I could not agree more... I had quite the eye opener a couple of weeks ago with very cold tires and very cold outside temps! I was slipping and sliding around every corner at relatively low speeds!!

Last year when it snowed I was at work when the snow started to roll in. So I closed the place down and got out as quick as possible, It was too late though. The snow was already down. I was cruising at just above idle in 3rd gear to get home. Every touch of the throttle brought wheel spin. MMM so thats what it is like to have v8 like torque. I like it.
