Default iphone/blackberry app or notebook for keeping track of car setup, conditions, etc?

    What does everyone use?

It seems to me that I could make things more consistent if I'd at least jot down what I did at events (track or autocross) and how it felt vs. trying to remember when it's been a month off.

I would have avoided wasting a couple runs recently if I'd remembered my experiences from the last time at that site more accurately.

If your trying to do it from your IPhone you can use the Memo App. Thats what i use. Also if you have another type of smart phone you can use memo/notepad type app.
    (Manual entry may be required)

Also an excel spread sheet might be a better option with graphing features ect.
    Blah blah blah!

I use Notes sync to Outlook. I and jot notes at the track and add to it from my PC. My device is always with me so for me it works better than a notebook. A cool app would be one that allowed you to set GPS beacons for each cone and have a copy of the course. Add your time and settings to a dialog box for each run and capture GPS data for each run.

I already carry a better device than some stone age thing....

But... it can definitely be quicker to jot something down on paper... and I KNOW I'm too lazy to transcribe paper to computer.

I don't like to use my phone with dirty greasy hands so I use a pen and pad.
