Watching the video at the 51 second time frame I do not see an engine in the 59'. The IIH could have made it more spectacular if they used a Corvair with some fuel in it.

I guess they could not get a crash test dummy to volunteer for the 59' because it did not have seat belts.

There was a crash test dummy in the '59. And HERE is a bit more on the car...

That '59 had a straight 6 so the offset crash gives you nothing but the fenders and the door to slow the impact.

Here is a '59 with the nose off and a straight 6.



Heck you can even see the air cleaner shooting out of it the vid.

Just a waste IMHO
