You can host a wrench party and some of the locals may come help. Usual cost is obviously the parts plus food and drink.

If you have never changed the clutch on one of these cars then you would not understand the cost involved for a shop to do it. A lot of manual labor involved (plus some choice curse words). I have helped with 3 Miatas now and none of them were mine.

I paid $170 labor for mine. Also I waited in a nice lexus waiting room took 3-4hrs it was jays first miata clutch. He also change the gearbox fluid and slave to. He's a good guy if you want me to i will send you his info but the deal is between you and him I am not involved or the middle man. You get what you pay for in most case's. So far my clutch is great after 20,000 miles My gearbox did start making a noise but It's a common rattle i found out from M.net.

What I want to know is how much beer & food I'm going to have to spring for to get a new clutch put in my Dodge...
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org

Let me know when you figure that out. 350lbs of transmission will require a whole lot of muscle power.
