Default 1993 Base White Miata w/AC, Roll Bar and Konis, 126K Miles

    NEW PRICE $2500

Decent car that runs great. 1 Year old Soft top. 5speed. Double diagonal roll bar and Koni adjustable shocks, strut tower brace.

Manual steering, steel wheels with the most attractive covers .

Original paint and panels. Some scratches, some rubs, a couple quarter sized paint flake-offs (its white).

Interior is good except passenger seat which has a few tears on seat bottom.

Drives great, cold AC, newer tires. Clutch replaced less than 5k miles ago. Some pics attached.

    NEW PRICE $2500

I'm new to Miatas, could you tell me if this has the 1.6L motor or the 1.8?

    Thanks

'93 is the last year for the 1.6L engine.

So... Let's say someone wanted to race spec Miata w/ this. About how much would the total out of pocked be? I'm guestimating $2900 + $3700 in mods. Am I even close?

Not if you want to win
figure $2900 + $10,000-$15,000 in mods for a top level car.

Keeeep going :) It can cost more...

Wheels and tires 1 set shaved and 1 FT - $2000
    suspension - $1500
Cage - $2000-3000 for a good custom job
    seat - $400-1000
Safety Equipment for driver - $500 or less (ya I can get you in to this cheap)
    misc items... - $1000-1500
    Alignment - $100
    Radiator - $300-600
    Exhaust - $350-400

So $8150-10,600 before you crack the motor open...

Then figure another $4500-8000 for a top top motor...
plus spares for the car - $2000

So we're at $14,650-18,150 (in mods alone) for a car that will have 97% of the go fast bits...then factor in keeping it fast :)

AND there are things that I may have forgotten

BUT...$2900 is a good price for this car for sure :)

The car looks like a decent driver. If I had not bought a good 90 with a bad crank for cheap I was considering this one or another green one Bob just got. Bob's cars are usually low miles "semi collector" type miatas. I am talking about garage queens. I think these two drivers were good trades or something. For someone looking for a miata for a good deal the white one or green one are worth a closer look. If you really wanted to get all sporty and cool, he has a couple of 3rd Gen RX7s that are nice.

Still available? I'm still working on the wife, but am interested. Read: I'm at 99%, she's at 9% so I have more work to do...

Yikes! Hopefully a team will emerge & I''ll need to buy racing gear for LeMons.
I can then get the car, tires, & suspension and autoX it for a year while saving money for the rest. It's not like AutoX for another year will make me any worse.
