Thread: Found a new Jeep

    Default Found a new Jeep

Just waiting on the dealer to fix a few items before doing the paperwork. I love testdriving a vehicle and seeing the look on the sales guys face when he realizes there is a problem (about 30 seconds After i noticed it). Its like they did not even test drive it once it was on the lot.

Did you test drive the same course that is in you avatar? I bet that would thrill the salesman.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

No, they would have been cleaning the butt stains out of the passenger seat in that case. would have been fun though.

Congrats if it all works out. It's not a Rubicon though Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I suspect it won't be stock for long.

I am not going overboard on this one. First and foremost it has to be comfortable to drive for long distances. Its going to be more of an expedition vehicle then a rockcrawler.

This one is too nice to scrape against rocks and trees! What mods to you have in mind for this one?

Mild lift, maybe 33" tires probably smaller, lockers, rocker guards, winch, bumpers, 4.10 gears (currently 3.73), heavy duty skid plates. Want to keep the body fairly clean and stock. Going to be my DD/vaction getaway vehicle to explore the country. Lots of room for camping gear, etc.

I plan to build an off-road teardrop camper to pull behind it when I travel.

Titus has a tear drop camper in his backyard next to the Nash. I took a peak inside his camper and there was more room inside than I expected.

Very nice. The extra room in the unlimited will be great.

Didn't they used to call that the Scrambler?

Very nice, BTW. Is it a 4 or a 6?

4.0L I-6. And it can definately get out of its own way. Just got back from having my Jeep Mechanic inspect it. Have a small list of things to have them check out/fix but nothing that will keep me from buying it.

Yeah, I have seen it. Its nice and actually a vintage model. I would not want to modify it for off-road use.
