FS: 94' Miata R, Arlington $4900.

I found this one on CL. I verified with Mazda that it was born as a "R" package car.
Laguna Blue. Needs front air dam. About 156K miles. Lived in San Antonio all its life.

Rogue and I looked at it. It's needs some work, it's not as clean as it looks. It's been hit front and back, needs the right front fender near the door fixed, has a leak in the trunk, needs new carpet and gauge hood, center console is rough, needs front lip and to repair the mounting points for the rear lip, and has some bondo work on the left rear. Rogue said it might need a front or rear main seal and it did not start when we saw it. It does have the correct shocks though and the top was in good shape too.

Ya I thought this car popped up about 4 months ago.....the seller needs to understand unless it's got all the parts it's just a base model miata with a diff :)

Yeah this guy is one of those small dealers off division in arlington and has no clue about what it is. I didn't tell him and he didn't really want to talk to us about buying it once he saw we were looking it over as good as we did.

To the seller its just a Miata on a note lot. He doesn't know its a "R", and is asking too much for this Miata.

Wrinkled left rear frame rail and poor bondo job on that quarter.
It also is another "R" without hollow 7 spokes.
Looks like its a Corpus car, instead of San Antonio.

Nothing that couldn't be fixed if you really want a Laguna R Pack, though.

It is great that you guys have already looked at the car. Somethings are just hard
to tell from poor pictures. CarFax said titles and inspections were done in San Antonio.

I thought about a low ball price just to get the R parts to put on another car. I never
moved on the idea so I thought I would post it here. Sorry if this was a repost.

FWIW I sold my old laguna 94 R for $1800....could have had $2500 IMO. IT had 180k....beat up LF frnder and factory stripes that needed replaced.

Still had all 3 spoilers.....but no bilsteins and a torsen that needed replaced.

It could have been fully restored for about $6k with a motor rebuild....but who wants a 180k chassis car for $6k?


If it's ratted out it's not worth restoring...

I doubt he will drop it another $1000 as he paid $2400 for it at auction.

Someone bought it last night; I called to see if it was still available so I could go take a look at it and someone was there putting a down payment on it.
