Thread: Reverse Lights wiring

    Default Reverse Lights wiring

For some reason the reverse lights have failed on my car. They actually failed before I even had the car I'm just now getting around to fixing them though Other things on the car have competed for my time and the reverse lights were low on the list.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the reverse light wiring or have any ideas of simple things to check that may be a common problem??

First things I would check are a) the fuse and b) both light bulbs. Should be easy and it will eliminate basic assumptions if you need to delve further into the problem.

I'll check the bulbs and fuse tonight after work. Didn't even think about the bulbs honestly didn't figure they would both be burnt out at the same time but the car is old as as far as I know might still have the original bulbs in it lol. Anyone have a fuse diagram I do not have the manual for this car. Which reminds me I need to see about getting a FSM for this thing it's the only vehicle I don't have one for.

They don't usually burn out at the same time. What happens is that one goes and you don't really notice it. It's only after the second one goes that you can tell. So, it's worth checking to see if they're burnt out...

Checking the bulbs and fuse should be quick and easy. As soon as you are done checking them, go ahead and order yourself a Back up lamp switch.
